The ethics of IdeaDinamica are expressed in every single work, but Il Tacco d’Italia (the Heel of Italy), directed by Marilù Mastrogiovanni, expresses its deepest essence.

Founded in March 2004 as a monthly, printed inquiry magazine, it also came out as an online version in 2005, with daily updates.

No public funding, no masters other than its readers.

The Tacco d’Italia has conducted inconvenient investigations for years, unveiling the links between the Mafia, business and politics in Salento and beyond.

And our principled stand has had consequences. Between 2014 and 2016, the newspaper’s online platform was sabotaged by a hacker attack: but even this flooding with heavy-traffic failed to close down Il Tacco.
